Sexy taxi driver, sexy nurse, sexy zombie… the “sexy” costume market is anything but sexy. Especially when manufactures take it to awful kids costumes. The initiative to make all women’s costumes sexy dumbs down women AND costumes. Arrrrrgghhh.

This was brought to my attention this morning. TakeBackHalloween.org. It is an awesome site. So many great ideas! Ideas that acknowledge the all the great things about being a lady, including being sexy. Ideas that also acknowledge women embodying whole complete dimensional characters instead of just hyper-sexualized caricatures.

They have a great site and a great kickstarter. So this year don’t spend money on a crap costume… fund these kids instead.
